UseMyWallet / Quicktender Poker Sites – eWallet Service for US Players

Posted on  Mar 27, 2012 | Updated on  Sep 7, 2018 by Tim Glocks

Sister to Ecocard, UseMyWallet aka Quicktender, was a boon to US players who wanted to fund their online poker accounts legally, quickly, and securely. However, one hardly finds any UseMyWallet online poker site these days because of the anti gambling attitude in the US.

When Ecocard vanished from the online gambling scenario in the US, a number of US online poker players mourned its loss. However, US poker players were delighted when Ecocard reappeared under the names of Quicktender and UseMyWallet. Players who have never heard of these payment methods must understand that Quicktender and UseMyWallet are names used for the same online payment processing services or eWallet. While Ecocard no longer offers services to US players, Quicktender and UseMyWallet, which are sisters of Ecocard, are happy to process gambling-related funds for US poker players. However, owing to the worsening conditions for online poker in the US, players will hardly find any online poker sites accepting UseMyWallet and Quicktender.

Getting a UseMyWallet Account

Registering a UseMyWallet account is not as easy as registering an account at PayPal, Skrill, or Moneybookers. Only those specially invited by an existing UseMyWallet customer can sign up an account at UseMyWallet. This might discourage players who are contemplating making use of UseMyWallet to fund their online poker accounts, but it needn’t because most online poker rooms that accept UseMyWallet are more than happy to extend this invitation when requested. Players who wish to use UseMyWallet must, therefore, simply approach customer care service and inform them that they would like to be invited to open an account a UseMyWallet.

Using UseMyWallet

Signing up at UseMyWallet when invited to do so is fairly easy because all players need to do is fill in a simple online registration form. UseMyWallet offers just a few payment options—players can use credit cards, debit cards, or bank wire to fund their UseMyWallet accounts. UseMyWallet also charges a fee of 5 percent to all players who deposit using credit cards, prepaid cards, and debit cards. While UseMyWallet does not charge for making deposits through bank wire, the bank charges a hefty sum. UseMyWallet also charges heavily for making withdrawals and whenever players withdraw their poker winnings through UseMyWallet, they will have to pay a fee of $30. The biggest advantage of UseMyWallet, therefore, is the heavy fee it charges.

Players who wish to make a deposit through UseMyWallet must visit the Cashier and choose UseMyWallet as a payment option. The next step is to transfer the cash, which is instant, secure, and easy. Players can also withdraw poker winnings back to their UseMyWallet account and then to their bank accounts.

No UseMyWallet Poker Sites

Unfortunately, there are no UseMyWallet online poker sites at present, owing to the tough online poker laws in the US. In fact, a large number of online payment processors such as Moneybookers, PayPal, Neteller, Ecocard, and others refuse to process online poker funds for US players in compliance with the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of 2006. Initially, a handful of online poker sites began accepting payments through UseMyWallet, but their number gradually reduced.

Meanwhile, a number of online poker sites such as Carbon Poker, Bovada Poker, Cake Poker, and others offer payment options such as Click2Pay, credit cards, and eChecks for US players.
