In a statement, PCA & LATAM Director of Live Operations David Carrion said

We are very excited about the new LAPT season. It has many new introductions, thrilling destinations and hardcore poker formats, which are set to bring bumper fields and richer prize pools. In Latin America, it is a challenge to cater for players fond of the less popular types, however this is something we are determined to do and are proud to introduce strong formats this season. With more variety available, we aim to attract more grinders, recreational and all-round players who can see higher EV with these options.

The LAPT will make two final stops before winding up in 2015. The Conrad Resort and Casino will be a new venue for the LAPT when it visits Punta del Este in Uruguay between the 18th – 22nd of September after which the LAPT will close out its season with the LAPT Grand Final and BSOP Millions in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This event is scheduled to take place between the 24th Nov – 2nd of December and is expected to be the largest live poker festival in South and Central America.
