poker-centralPoker Central is all set to launch its TV channel in the United States that will cover all things related to poker on a 24/7 basis. The channel is expected to launch during the last quarter of 2015 and has plans to broadcast its content all over the world via television and other innovative platforms such as mobile devices and live streaming.

Poker Central wants to take advantage of the growing poker market and fan base all across the world and broadcast content that will promote the game of poker and create an even bigger fan base.

The channel plans to cover some of the biggest live events, celebrity poker matches, player profiles, poker strategy sessions and rag to riches stories that the game of poker has helped to create.

The company has plans to collaborate with a number of strategic partners in order to promote the game and bring in more customers and revenue for poker companies. Poker Central is currently putting together a high powered leadership team that will help grow the company and create a positive first impression.

In a statement, Clint Stinchcomb, CEO of Poker Central said

We are exceedingly fortunate to have Sid Eshleman, former SVP of Distribution for Turner Networks (CNN, TNT, TBS, Cartoon, etc) and Discovery Communications as our Head of Distribution. He’s an extremely well respected executive across the media industry; you might call him the ‘Daniel Negreanu of distribution.

Dan Russel will be responsible for leading the programming division of Poker Central. Russel has extensive experience in the industry and has led four other cable networks in the past and achieved great results. He was also instrumental in launching the World Poker Tour in 2003 when he worked as the Travel Channel.

Poker Central has plans to launch over 2000 hours of programming and Russel will be responsible for developing quality content that brings in high television ratings. Over 50% of this content will be U.S. based television premiers and will most likely be made available via tablets, mobiles and online streaming.

Poker Central will also be collaborating with POKER PROductions to cover the $25 Million Super High Roller Bowl which is scheduled to take place at the Aria Resort & Casino during the 2-4th of July 2015 . The event will not be telecasted live but Poker Central will closely analyze the event to see how best they can incorporate live segments for the 2016 edition.
