Turbo Championship of Online  PokerThe 4th edition of the Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) is currently underway and a number of online poker players from PokerStars are looking to have a good run. The TCOOP is considered to be one of the biggest events of the season and is scheduled to run from the 22nd of Jan to the 1st of Feb.

The TCOOP is packed with a number of heavy events and has a prize pool of a guaranteed $15 million. The TCOOP features a total of 50 events and has attracted some of the biggest online poker players in the industry including Mickey Petersen and Jake Cody who represent team PokerStars.

Jake Cody is well known on the poker circuit and has won events at the European Poker Tour, World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker. Speaking about the tournament, Cody said

[The] TCOOP is an awesome series because the tournaments are so quick and varied – you don’t have to be up all night to win some huge money, and the range of formats and game choices is so diverse. I haven’t won one yet but will be giving it my best shot

Mickey Petersen, an online poker professional from Denmark will also look to make his mark at the TCOOP. He players under the screen name of ‘mement_mori‘ and has done rather well at the TCOOP in the past, cashing in on 16 different events.

The TCOOP will kick off with a $27 NL Hold’em that has a 6-Max, Turbo, Re-Entry and come with a guaranteed prize of $500K and the 2 million guaranteed Main Event. The winner of the Main Event can expect to receive a minimum of $300,000 in championship winnings.

Some of the other events featured at the TCOOP include the $215 NL Hold’em [Turbo, Progressive Super-Knockout] which has a $800,000 guarantee; $82 PL 5-Card Omaha [6-Max, Turbo,2R1A] which has a $50,000 guarantee; a $215 NL Hold’em [Turbo, Zoom, Re-Entry] which has a $400,000 guarantee; $82+R NL Omaha H/L [6-Max, Turbo], which has a $100,000 guarantee; $215 NL Hold’em [Turbo, Heads-Up] which has a $250,000 guarantee and a $320 NL Hold’em [Turbo, Progressive Super-Knockout] which comes with a $1 million guarantee.
