WSOP.comSummary

  • The WSOP is running multiple promotions in November across all of its U.S. markets
  • The schedule shows Michigan is not set to join the existing shared pool in New Jersey and Nevada
  • There’s been no progress on shared liquidity since Michigan joined MSIGA in May

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) recently announced a string of promotions for its online players as the usually busy month of November kicks off.

There are multiple promotions and offers on the way for each of WSOP.com’s U.S. markets which will surely delight players, however, the schedule also indicates that WSOP.com will not yet merge its Michigan players with the existing shared liquidity pool in Nevada and New Jersey.

Promotions Will Run Separately

Based on the schedule posted on WSOP’s website, there will be individual promotions for each of the states, except for Nevada and New Jersey which currently share the same player pool under the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA).

The November online poker extravaganza opens with the Fall Online Championships which gets underway on November 3 and takes place until November 22. The festival will run separately in WSOP’s three networks in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey/Nevada. Each of the series features 60 tournaments with $475,000 in guarantees on offer for both WSOP MI and WSOP PA, and more than $1 million up for grabs in WSOP NJ/NV.

Next on the schedule is the WSOP Online Circuit series which runs from November 9 to 20 in all four states. The series in Michigan and Pennsylvania will feature the same tournaments and schedule, with $385,000 in guarantees up for grabs in each state. Meanwhile, players in New Jersey and Nevada will compete for $875,000 in guaranteed prize pool across 12 ring events, similar to the number of events available on the Michigan and Pennsylvania schedule.

WSOP is also running a Gift Drop Mania promotion, though it is only open to players in Michigan and Pennsylvania. The promo takes place from November 23-27. Another promotion called the 72 Hour Blast will run across all four states from November 25-27.

The WSOP will cap off its November promotions with the Vince Vaughn vs. The Champions which will also run individually in WSOP PA (Nov. 15-22), WSOP NJ/NV (Nov. 29-Dec. 6), and WSOP MI (Dec. 13-20).

No Progress on Shared Liquidity in Michigan

Looking at the schedule, it’s clear that the merging of players in Michigan and the existing shared pool in New Jersey and Nevada won’t happen anytime soon. Michigan officially joined the MSIGA back in May 2022 but after five months, the state has yet to approve any operator for shared liquidity.
