The New Jersey Poker Classic (NJPC) tournament is set to return in February of 2018! The event, which is hosted by 888poker, made its debut in November of last year. And thanks to the roaring success of it, it will return for a second run.
This one is set to be even bigger than the first event, featuring a larger collection of days to run over and more events included in it. Furthermore, the prize money that players can win will also be a larger pot.
The November New Jersey Poker Classic took place over 11 days in total. During this time period, a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000 was available, with the winner being decided over a total of 38 events. However, the eventual prize amount surpassed that figure easily, with an amount of $640,000 being handed out by 888poker. It is said that the upcoming New Jersey Poker Classic will provide 57 different events, and it will take place over a 17-day period. This is set to be between February 9th and 25th. Furthermore, the second coming of this series will provide a minimum of $800,000 in prize money!
888poker Looks Set to Beat Its Guarantees Again
While $800,000 is a guaranteed amount, the poker site will also be looking to outdo itself once again. One way that it will do this is by utilising freerolls. At the moment, 888poker is holding daily and weekly freerolls with prizes of more than $20,000 on offer. These will take place right up until the Main Event of the series. Included within such prizes are seats at the NJPC as well as satellite tickets.
Furthermore, additional freerolls will be available for VIP players of the site and every new sign-up will receive two tickets to the platform’s freerolls as a welcome gift. This will take place alongside the $20 registration bonus that 888poker already provides to newcomers. The schedule will see a $500 NJPC daily freeroll take place every day at 8pm. An additional $1,000 weekly freeroll will be held every Sunday at 7pm and a $2,500 VIP freeroll held on Saturday, February 24th at 7:30 pm.
A $100,000 guarantee prize is on hand in the Main Event of the NJPC. Not only will the winner receive over $20,000, but they will also be given the New Jersey Poker Classic Series gold belt as well. It is said that the Main Event will easily outdo the $100,000 guarantee though.
