VAMN-TV recently announced that it is putting together a special poker documentary reality TV series called ‘Girl Got Game’ that will focus on the lives of eight female poker players as they compete in poker tournaments across Las Vegas and Macau. The Californian based company announced that it had signed deals eight ladies who are expected to get the attention of fans due to their poker players skills and dynamic personalities.
Sofia Lövgren, Oanh Bui, Joanna Kwak, Kitty Kuo, Sabina Hiatullah, Xuan Liu, Lilou Agostini and Danielle Andersen have all signed up for the show which will be produced by Katrina Lim.
The show is expected to be telecast on VAMN-TV during the middle of April 2016. In a statement, Lim said
I created Girl Got Game to show that poker is a skill game and my friends work just as hard as anyone else in other professions to create a good living for themselves and their families. They deserve respect in their line of work because it not only takes talent, but a ton of resilience, intelligence, passion, and motivation: female empowerment at its best. I’m also excited to show my friends collaborating together, proving teamwork while still having fun, will always be paramount.
The documentary will cover the lives of these players as they play in teams and take part in singles competition. The winner amongst these top eight players will also get a seat at the 2016 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. VAMN-TV has plans to hold a second season of ‘Girl Got Game’ and will have the two players with the biggest cash bankroll return for season 2.
The viewers will also have a chance to vote for their favorite player amongst the eight and this player will return as the third player to Season 2.
During the Girl Got Game show, these eight players will be given a bankroll of $10,000 and start their adventures in Macau. They will be given a number of mental and physical challenges and the winners will be given more cash. The Season 1 finale will take place in Las Vegas during the 2016 WSOP. The producer has confirmed that some of the leading poker players in the world will make cameo experiences during the show but did not reveal any names for now.
