Hollywood Poker OpenThe Hollywood Poker Open (HPO) Season 3 is currently taking place at the Hollywood Casino in Columbus, Ohio and will feature as many as 32 events. This is the final stop for the HPO tour before the season finale which is a $2,500 Championship Event that is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada at the M Resort Casino Spa.

The HPO Columbus tour will run from the 14th – 25th of May and will feature 10 special HPO sanctioned events that is expected to draw a large number of players from all over the nation.

HPO Ambassador and the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event champ Chris Moneymaker is scheduled to participate in the regional main event and will look to entertain players who take part in cash games as well as side events.

HPO Columbus is the last regional stop of the season. With a chance to qualify for the Championship Event in Las Vegas, a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool on the Regional Main Event, and the possibility of playing alongside 2003 WSOP Main Event champion Chris Moneymaker, what else could you ask for?

Some of the events that will feature at the HPO Columbus event include event 3a which is a NL Hold’em Deepstack Flight A that has a $50,000 Guarantee and a $450 buy-in; event 3b which is a NLH Deepstack Flight B $50,000 Guaranteed and a $450 buy-in; event 6 which is a Seniors No Limit for those who are 50 and above with a buy-in of $235 and event 10 which is a NL Hold’em Deepstack that has a buy-in for $235. The HPO Columbus Season 3 main event has a lower buy in that last year and is expected to bring in a lot more registrations than Season 2. The 2014 edition main event had a buy-in for $1,800 and attracted 126 players. The 2015 edition buy-in is just $1, 115 and tournament directors expect a minimum of 150 registrations along with a bigger guaranteed prize pool.
