Pamela Anderson & Rick SalomonBig one for One Drop Finalist Rick Salomon and celebrity wife Pamela Anderson recently announced that they would be getting divorced for the second time. The couple who were married for the second time less than a year ago, were unable to make it work. Pamela Anderson, incidentally filed for divorce just two days after Salomon won $2.8 million playing in a charity poker tournament at the World Series of Poker.

Salomon who is 47 years old was snapped by the paparazzi looking downcast and without his wedding ring. It remains to be seen if Salomon will have to split his $2.8 million with Pamela along with the other assets that he possesses. Pamela Anderson has also been married and divorced to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee.

Reports show that Pamela Anderson was not happy with Salomon as he was not spending sufficient time nor making himself as emotionally available as she expected. She used her twitter account to make her feelings known. In one of her tweets, Anderson said

I no longer have the time for anyone or anything that cannot give emotion, time and love, honestly, freely and with sincerity… my beautiful, soulful, mentor BB [for Brigitte Bardot]

Rick Salomon is a professional poker player who had been friends with Pamela Anderson for over 17 years. It was at a poker event that they decided to take their relationship to another level. Some reports say that during a poker game, Pamela lost close to $250,000 to Salomon and based on Salomon’s request, she decided to pay it back with a kiss. It wasn’t long after that they both got married for the first time and it was a short lived marriage.

In Jan 2014, Pamela and Salomon announced that they wanted to get married and try once again to make it work. Their second marriage lasted longer than the first but once again they realized that the marriage wasn’t going to work. What makes this divorce different from the first one is that Pamela Anderson decided to file for divorce just 2 days after Salomon won $2.8 million dollars.

Pamela Anderson may not be as popular as she once was in the media but she is still a celebrity and continues to attract the attention of the media and gossip columns. Pamela’s rep released a statement asking the media to respect Pamela and her family’s privacy. However, it is the timing of her divorce has given much room for speculation.
