poker-centralPoker Central, a company that is expected to launch an exclusive 24/7 poker network during the fourth quarter of 2015 has been aggressively promoting its brand in the lead up to its launch. The TV network had earlier sponsored a special Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout that featured some of the biggest poker players in the world as they competed against each other for a $1 million prize.

Poker greats like Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson,Vanessa Selbst, Daniel Negreanu and Antonio Esfandiari represented the poker community while actors Norm Macdonald, Brad Garrett, Don Cheadle, Kevin Pollak and Hank Azaria were part of the celebrity group that participated in the tournament. The event was filmed at the Aria casino in Las Vegas Strip during the 27th-28th of June and the final match was played between the winner of the celebrity group and the winner of the professional poker group.

The event was recorded and is scheduled to be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network starting from the 29th of July. The Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout program will be telecast for three consecutive Wednesday’s and can be seen at 6 p.m. EST.

The Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout program is expected to generate a lot of interest in the poker community because poker fans will be able to watch some of the poker’s greatest players compete against each other and have fun. Poker Central also recorded a special Super High Roller Bowl event that had a $500,000 buy-in. Brian Rast was the eventual winner and this event will also be telecast on NBCSCN. The first episode will be telecast on the 28th of August and the final episode will be telecast on the 23rd of October.
