Poker King Club MacauThe Poker King Club (PKC) situated inside the StarWorld Casino in Macau was one of the most popular establishments for both professional and amateur poker players. The PKC was known for hosting the popular Macau Big Game and drew hundreds of VIP players along with a lot of media attention.

The PKC was forced to re-locate its premises in September 2014 and move to The Venetian Macau on a temporary basis as the PKC room was being renovated at a considerable cost in order to give the PKC an image overhaul.

The Venetian Macau will now be the new home for the PKC.

The PKC recently confirmed that its renovation work was complete and wanted to open its doors on the 22nd of May by throwing a lavish party inviting some of the best poker players in the world along with senior members of the gambling fraternity in Macau. Some of the guests who attended the 22nd May inauguration included dignitaries such as Winfred Yu, President of Poker King Club; Harold Tsakmaklis Vice President of Casino Operations, Venetian Macau Limited; Ciaran Carruthers, Senior Vice President & Director of Venetian & Plaza Operations, Sands China Ltd and YM Choong, President of Marketing Strategy of Suncity Group.

Some of the top professional poker players who attended the event included Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan and Johnny Chan. The PKC non-smoking room can be found at the Phoenix Hall of The Venetian Macao’s main gaming area and has been elegantly designed to showcase a mix of the resorts signature architecture.

Those who visit the PKC will be able to charge their phones from the USB charges that are located at each table, be able to make themselves comfortable by controlling the luxury seating, order 24/7 food and beverages while enjoying table side dining and watch TV via the many TV’s installed all over the room.

In a statement, Winfred Yu, President of Poker King Club said

The Venetian Macau is no doubt one of the most prestigious integrated resorts in Macau. This move allows us to take advantage of its upscale entertainment, dining, shopping and hotel options, as we continue to deliver the best in player experience. We are never satisfied with status quo and I am confident that Poker King Club will become every player’s venue of choice.
