In a statement, PPC Commissioner Sandy Swartzbaugh said
After an incredibly successful season for the PPC Poker Tour, we couldn’t be more excited to head back to Fort Pierce. Bumping the guarantee on the Main Event from $20,000 to $50,000 just shows the growth and popularity of poker in Fort Pierce. Players will be able to win packages back to the PPC Aruba World Championship series in October 2014.
This four event series in Fort Pierce will have a $225 buy-in and a $50,000 guarantee Main Event, which is scheduled to start on the 27th of March and run till the 30th of March. Players will have an option to buy in on any of the five starting days and then carry forward their biggest stack into Day 2. The fields will then come together on the 30th of March to decide on the final champion. The PPC will also award multiple Aruba packages.
Fort Pierce Jai-Alai and Poker are extremely happy to host the PPC. The Director of Operations for Fort Pierce Jai-Alai and Poker, Kyle Collett said
We are excited to have the PPC back to our property. Our players gave us some great feedback about our end of the year $50,000 tournament, in which the prize pool reached almost $70,000. Now with the PPC returning for the Spring Classic we can offer at least a $50,000 prize pool paired with trips to Aruba for the PPC World Championship Series. Check Jaialai.net for a full list of tournaments and promotions.
The PPC has also made plans to assist players and help them plan their next PPC poker trip. As a result, twenty percent of the Fort Pierce Spring Classic prize pool will be set aside for entries into the PPC Aruba World Championship that is scheduled to take place in October 2014. The PPC Aruba is one of the premier stop on the PPC Poker Tour and takes place at the beautiful Radisson Aruba Resort. The event also has a $2,200 buy-in for a $200,000 Main Event.
