Marco “AgentMarco” Valerio was a well known name with QuadJacks, until he made an abrupt departure around four months back and headed over to the Global Poker Index. However, Marco decided the QuadJacks is where he needed to be and has now rejoined the company and has taken on the new role of being a general manager. Quadjacks is an online poker radio station that is based out of Nevada.
Marco had joined GPI to be in charge of analyzing and growing the company. Zokay Entertainment, who owns GPI had recently entered into strategic partnerships with WSOP and WPT through the free fantasy sports site called Fantasy Poker Manager. The website allows fans to build their own roster of favorite professional players.
Marco posted a tweet informing his followers that he was getting back to QuadJacks and would be assuming a new role as a general manager. He has big plans to work with QuadJacks and its revamped website. In a statement, Marco said
Before I left QJ, I had thought about eventually taking control. When I left, it wasn’t clear whether I could do that. If I had thought it was going to be a sure thing, I probably wouldn’t have taken the job with GPI.
Marco is not a shareholder of QuadJacks and he also did not reveal who were the owners of the website. However, he is completely committed to developing and growing QuadJacks. He went on to say
There is a new ownership structure but I am not a part of it. I was not an owner of QJ before, and that hasn’t changed.
QuadJacks was the place where Marco made his mark on the industry. Marco was born in Italy and has a very recognizable voice. He slowly but surely built his name in the poker community and leveraged his position in the media through QuadJacks to make a name for himself. One of the things that Marco was extremely popular for within the poker community was his interesting WSOP interviews and his long and drawn out Black Friday poker discussions. Marco has interviewed a number of professional players and key members within the poker community.
After Marco left QuadJacks, the website lot a some of its popularity and fans. Marco hopes to rebuild that quickly and expand the reach of QuadJacks, especially as the US considers legalizing online poker across the nation.
