The poker world is set to have an injection of excitement with the many different tournaments that are set to start in February. Players in the United Kingdom and Ireland will have a nice choice of events to involve themselves in, with a variety of buy-in prices and prizes to be won. These tournaments are set to take place in many locations across the two countries, giving gamers with differing bankrolls the opportunity to join suitable games.

The first of these major poker tournaments has its first leg already taking place in the UK, which is the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour. This began on January 28 but will run through until February 4 at The Poker Room in London. In actual fact, this all started out with a Mini Main Event, offering up a guaranteed reward of £20,000 and the choice of unlimited re-entry. The overall Main Event of this tournament began on February 1 and will last for three days, with buy-ins costing £1,100. A guaranteed prize for the winner of this stands at around £200,000. Additional live poker games within this tournament include the £165 Omaha 4/5/6 and the £110 Turbo Bounty offering.

As far as the second leg of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tournament goes, this will begin on February 25, running until March 4. This one will take place at the Grosvenor Casino in Manchester’s Bury Road, and it will offer the same events as the first leg that is currently in play.

As well as this Grosvenor offering, there’s the 25/25 Series taking place from the same brand. The first two games of this series are taking place between February 8 and 11 at the Grosvenor casinos in Luton and Sheffield. Meanwhile, the other two will occur at the brand’s casinos in Cardiff and Stockton between February 15 and 18. These each come with a £225 buy-in and there’s a guarantee of a £25,000 prize pool.

Additional Tournaments to Enjoy

Grosvenor isn’t the only company offering up poker tournaments either. 888 Poker is set to host its Live Kick Off at the Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford in the capital city of London. This tournament will occur over three days from February 8 to 11 and offers four starting flights as well as a buy-in that stands at £440. Players joining this tournament will also receive two re-entry possibilities.

There’s also the UK Poker Championships series, occurring at the Dusk Till Dawn casino in Nottingham. This will be a part of PPL Season 1 and will be taking place between February 7 and 25. Throughout this tournament, a number of different events will be available to join. It will start with the NLHE Open, which has a £220 buy-in as well as £200,000 guaranteed in its prize pool. There’s also a £550 buy-in event known as the Warm Up, which contains the same guaranteed reward. And then there’s the Super High Roller event too. The Main Event will be held over two days and also have a buy-in of £1,100. However, players in this event will be competing to win part of the £1,000,000 prize pool!

Poker Stars will also be hosting its Megastack London events, occurring between February 23 and 25 at the Hippodrome casino. This also features a Main Event that has four starting flights, each costing £170. The tournament will also have its own high roller offering and the £110 NLHE “Cheap and Deep”.
