party poker spainThe PartyPoker brand may have been living in the shadow of PokerStars for a long time, but it’s finally time for it to take a leap and align itself as an equal-footed platform. And what is its secret weapon? The keys to Spain and France, of course.

Alongside the King’s Resort located in Rozvadov, PartyPoker LIVE has signed itself into a deal that will see it sponsor the Poker Series in both countries throughout the duration of 2019. Each of the series features five separate stops and its own grand final, which is scheduled to happen at the aforementioned King’s Resort towards the latter half of the year.

As it happens, the first two events have already taken place, with France’s Poker Series taking place in La Grand-Motte between 14 and 17 February. Well-known poker players Bruno Fitoussi and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier attended the south-of-France event. Over that same time period, Spain’s first event occurred on the island of Mallorca.

It’s not only the live poker events that are taking place in France and Spain though, because PartyPoker aims to bring its POWERFEST to both countries. Both of these tournaments will begin on 24 February and run through until 12 March. During that time, a total of 91 events will occur, ranging between Micro and Low levels, and proceeding right up to High Roller options.

For the POWERFEST events, a total of €3.5 million is on the line in guaranteed prizes. The three Main Events will get the biggest portion of that, with guarantees of €40,000, €125,000 and €350,000 for each of the phased events.

More PartyPoker News and Hellmuth’s Masterclass

Not one to shy away from generating buzz, the PartyPoker platform has also brought an addition to its online poker room. Currently being tested in Beta Mode, this extra addition is known as MyGame. This analyses your own poker play at cash game tables and is currently only available in English language.

Following on from this analysis, MyGame will give you a scorecard which rates you across a total of eight skill levels. Analysis takes place across five main categories, as well s 25 smaller sub-categories. You’re able to tweak your gameplay performance simply by checking into the training tools in MyGame, like “Fundamentals” and such.

And speaking of tweaking your performance, if you’re located in South America, then you may want to visit Rio de Janeiro for a Masterclass by Phil Hellmuth Jr. This will take place during the MILLIONS South America event, which will be in-play at The Belmond Copacabana Palace.

Starting on Monday 18 March at 7pm, Hellmuth Jr. will share details on his own poker gameplay, citing his own successes in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and answering questions from avid fans.

The entirety of the MILLIONS South America festival will run from March 15 through to March 24 and provide a total of $7 million in prize money.
