This four day poker festival will be held in Georgia’s largest indoor sports arena and is also the first international poker festival to come to Georgia.

MPN and Adjarabet are promoting the event on a huge scale and recently confirmed that Daniel ‘Jungleman’ Cates will be participating in the event. Cates is a high stakes American poker player and his participation in the event is expected to attract both local and international poker players to Tblisi.

The four day festival will have five special events that will finish with a Main Event that has a $550 buy-in and a $250,000 guarantee. The MPN event in Tblisi has a guaranteed prize pool of $400,000 with a number of exciting events such as Event #4 which is a $100,000 guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em that has a $220 buy-in and Event #5 which is a $25,000 guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em with a $25 buy-in and the option to have unlimited rebuys.

Adjarabet.com is the biggest online poker room in Georgia and ranked 11th in the world according to a PokerScout survey. The online poker website wanted to collaborate with MPN and sponsor this exciting tournament in order to expand its international presence and strengthen its brand image. Lasha Machavariani, the Chief Marketing Officer for Adjarabet’s stated that they expect atleast 300 players to qualify online and enter the MPN event.

Cates who has never been to Tbilisi before is looking forward to his first visit and taking part in the event. In a statement, Cates said

I always like to explore territories where there hasn’t been much established poker for foreigners before, and I am excited about this trip as I have heard wonderful things about Adjarabet.com, the event and Tbilisi’s atmosphere and cuisine.

The Main Event is a small buy-in compared to what I am used too, but I’m getting whispers that there is plenty of high stakes cash game action and I encourage others to join me on this adventure.

Machavariani encouraged international poker players to visit Tbilisi stating that it is extremely easy to get a visa and flights to Georgia. He also assured visitors that Tbilisi is one of the safest cities in the world and anyone who visits will be in for a good time.
