Fedor Holz is one of the top poker players on the circuit with more than $22 million in career prize money.

The German poker pro recently announced the launch of a new poker training app that targets recreational poker players, athletes and students.

Rather than focusing on poker strategies which most of the poker training websites and apps do, Holz’s Primed Mind app is aimed at helping players prepare themselves mentally for tough poker battles.

In a statement Holz said

I think the role of mindset is huge in anything. There's a lot of skilled people, but just a few that actually focus on something and put their skills to use. I believe that especially the average player that constantly struggles with mindset issues will benefit from Primed Mind, being more focused and tilt-resistant throughout the day

According to Holz, negativity and stress can affect a player’s approach to the game. The app will enable players to choose a particular area of interest and then provide a series of primers and courses to achieve a specific goal. Sessions will also include a 12-minute audio guidance from mindset coach Elliot Roe.

The company has also designed a special free primer covering the prestigious WSOP Main Event for players interested in preparing for one of the biggest poker events of the year.

Holz stated that he had created app after becoming fascinated with the impact of the psychological aspect of one’s mindset in the journey towards success. Although mindset plays a critical role in life, few people can access quality training to improve their mindset. Holz stated that he had wanted to develop an affordable option for people wanting to access mindset coaching which led to the creation of the app.

The Primed App was launched before the start of the WSOP Main Event and within the first 24 hours, more than 2,000 downloads were recorded. The app is currently available in both iOS and Android platforms. While there is some amount of free content available, premium content can be accessed for $14.99 per month.

Users who download the Primed Mind app, can listen to courses for boosting confidence, personal growth and communication skills. Primers will help prepare for specific life situations through focusing on daily habits, personal goals and social goals. Pro-level primers are geared at serious players looking to improve playing performance and will incorporate expert inputs from world-renowned champions. Primed Mind is also unique in its offering because it offers players an individual mindset coach.
