Moorman has already hit his target of earning $10 million playing online poker alone. He has finished in the cash 5,856 times and has bagged 15 triple crowns in the course of his poker career, which began in 2006. Last weekend, Moorman won $9,500 playing a $215 buy-in poker tournament at Party Poker, thus becoming the first poker player to win more than $10 million playing online poker tournaments.
According to his website, Moorman has been ranked as the world’s number one online poker player 18 times. In September 2013, he was ranked as the number one online poker player in the UK. According to PocketFives.com, a portal that tracks the achievements of online poker players, Moorman is not only the first poker player to earn more than $10 million playing online poker, but also the only poker player to have earned more than $7 million. In a post on the PocketFives.com Forums, Moorman says:
Thanks for all the support and kind messages along the way, it feels great to finally get there. The last $50k felt so hard. Now it’s time to get to work on the next $10 million tomorrow.
Although the only poker player to earn over $10 million in online poker, Moorman has a long way to go before he can beat poker pros such as Patrik Antonius and Phil Ivey. Ivey has won over $10 million playing a wide range of cash games, and Antonius has reported more than $11 million, according to statistics revealed by highstakesdb.com.
Players who want to know more about Chris Moorman and his online poker accomplishments will find all the information they are looking for at ChrisMoorman.com, the poker pro’s recently launched website.
Moorman is an accomplished live poker player too and occupies a place in the Global Poker Index’s Top 10 list, having won more than $2.8 million in live poker tournaments besides finishing in the cash and emerging as the finalist several times.
