The five day land based PokerStars Canadian Cup Poker Tournament has now come to an end and this year, as is often the case, a Poker player who won a direct entry in this huge prize paying Poker Tournament via a low cost Satellite Tournament managed to bag the first prize!

The venue for the PokerStars Canadian Cup was the Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, and it was a heavily subscribed tournament with no fewer than 577 Poker players taking part in the final stages held at this very popular Kahnawake Poker venue.

Robert NotkinIt was a very well contested event, and in the final hand of the game all four players chose to go all in with their bankrolls and it was a guy named Robert Notkin whose hand out-ranked those three other players left in the tournament.

He won the first place prize worth a whopping $366,660 which wasn’t bad when you consider his entry was won via a Satellite Tournament that only cost him $30 as opposed to players who opted to pay the $3,300 direct entry fee!

The second placed finisher who had the most chips left before going all in was Vincent Jacques who won himself a huge payout for finishing in second place and he took home some $257,280. The third placed player was deemed to be Ryan Rivers and he walked off with some $165,280 and this left Justin Miller who was placed fourth and he won for himself $122,410.

There is a lot to like about the PokerStars site, for they are regularly offering a very wide range of online Poker Satellite Tournaments on which players can win for themselves a direct entry into one of the major land based Poker tournaments held across the world.
