Amaya Inc owned companies PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker have recently been on a hiring spree signing up some global superstars and top poker players to represent and promote their brands. PokerStars in the last few months has Neymar Jr, Felipe Mojave and Andre Akkari and has focused specially on the South American market.
Full Tilt Poker (FTP) recently announced that it had entered into an agreement with British poker player Marc “PlayinWitDreams” Kennedy who will now represent FTP as a player ambassador. Kennedy has been a professional poker player for a number of years and specializes in no limit Hold’em 6-max and also spends a considerable amount of his time on the FTP website playing fast-fold poker pools on the rush tables at the FTP.
FTP has a special black card sponsorship program that gives its top poker players an opportunity to become a player ambassador. The FTP website offers players 12 leaderboards and all of them represent different formats and stakes. Online poker players who make it to the top of the leaderboard get rewarded with a 100% rakeback valid for 6 months and an option to pick a $20,000 bonus or $20,000 in FTOPS or Mini-FTOPS buy-ins.
Kennedy has put in a lot of hard working and his efforts have been rewarded by FTP. He was the leader of the rush ring games high leaderboard and went on to win it on four consecutive occasions. His accomplishments were recognized by the FTP team and as a result he was awarded with the opportunity of being a player ambassador.
In a statement, Dominic Mansour, the Full Tilt Managing Director said
We are delighted to announce the signing of Full Tilt player Marc Kennedy as our Player Ambassador. Marc’s addition to the team is a vital one, as we realise the importance of having ‘a man on the ground’ while we reshape online poker to better meet the needs of recreational players. Marc will help us improve the online poker experience by sharing his love for the game, passion for our product and understanding of customer issues with the entire team.
Kennedy’s role with FTP will be different from the usual sponsored professional ambassador. In his role as a player ambassador, Kenney will be responsible for helping FTP make changes to its product to enhance the gaming experience of online poker players. He will also contribute articles to the FTP blog and share his insights via his special Twitch broadcasts.
