PokerStars MegastackPokerStars is all set to visit the Emerald Isle and host its PokerStars MEGASTACK Dublin stop that will take place at the Bonnington Hotel in Dublin.

MEGASTACK Dublin will commence from August 16 and give poker players a chance to win a lot of money including a coveted Platinum Pass to the PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC).

The MEGASTACK Dublin is expected to draw poker players from all over the United Kingdom as this is a unique event which has low buy-ins and high payouts.

The buy-in is fixed at €170 to give poker players from all backgrounds a chance to take part in the event which comes with a guaranteed prize pool of €50,000. The winner of the MEGASTACK event will also receive a Platinum Pass which is valued at $30,000.

PokerStars Satellite Events To MEGASTACK

While the €170 buy-in isn’t very high it can still be quite expensive for some poker players. PokerStars has launched a number of online satellite events with low buy-ins ranging from €6 to €22 and run every day of the week and twice on Thursdays and Sundays. These online satellite events will run till August 14 and the winners will get a seat at MEGASTACK.

This is the third time that PokerStars will host a tournament in Dublin and the second time that the event will be taking place at the Bonnington Hotel. The previous edition saw a total of 634 registrations and the event was one by French poker pro Pierre Lewandowski. PokerStars is expecting a bigger turnout for this edition now that a Platinum Pass is also on the line.

Platinum Passes Scooped Up By UK and Irish Players

The $30,000 Platinum Pass includes the $25,000 buy-in to the PSPC which takes place in Jan 2019 in the Bahamas. The Platinum Pass also provides winners with $2,000 in travel expenses, 6 night’s accommodation at the Atlantis Resort Nassau and a set of surprising prizes and bonuses.

UK and Irish poker pros have done well in bagging a number of Platinum Passes during the last few months. So far eight players from the UK and 5 players from Ireland have won Platinum Passes. The PokerStars MEGASTACK Dublin event is another opportunity for Irish poker players to book themselves a seat at what is being billed as the biggest high stakes event in the history of poker.
