The month of December has arrived already, and we’re four days into it. While many people are gearing themselves up for the Christmas period, others are looking towards the selection of poker tournaments that will be taking place across the United Kingdom and Ireland. You never know – entering one of the tournaments may just help to get you set up for a fun and festive Christmas. So, let’s take a look at what’s coming up.
It was only yesterday that the Grosvenor 25/25 Series finished in Manchester. However, don’t worry, because the month of December has two additional opportunities for players to get involved in some rounds of thrilling poker play. The first of these will take place in Reading, while the second will occur within Edinburgh. Both will run between the 5th and 9th. Naturally, these will happen at the Grosvenor G Casino and Grosvenor Maybury Casino, respectively. At both of these tournaments, players can access the traditional £225 buy-in of the No Limit Hold’em game. There will be four starting flights, with a secondary day of gaming.
Don’t forget about the PartyPoker Live Series, either. Nottingham’s Dusk Till Dawn casino will be the host of this between the dates of December 9th and 16th. There will be two dates for the Main Event of this tournament, takin place on December 9th and December 12th. Anyone who decides to enter into this tournament will also be able to access a selection of other poker events. These will incorporate Pot Limit Omaha and multiple others.
One of the other big tournaments comes in the shape of the 2018 Genting Poker Series Main. This marks the 18th leg of such, with the Genting Casino Luton being the host of it between the 10th and 16th. The series’ Main Event will begin on the 12th, following a £46 satellite and a £90 NLHE Super Seventy event.
Other Live Tournaments in December
The final day of the 888Poker LIVE London series took place yesterday at the Aspers Casino Westfield. The event has been running since November 22nd, providing a number of different games for players to involve themselves in.
It was also at the beginning of December that the last two days of 2018’s GCOOP III occurred. This happened at the Grosvenor Casino in Walsall, having started on November 25th. Again, a range of poker events took place within the tournament, featuring various buy-ins and prize pool guarantees.
A short tournament will run between December 7th and 9th at Manchester’s 235 casino. It is there that the UK Poker Tour by Unibet will occur. A No Limit Hold’em event will be available with a buy-in of £220. This also has a guaranteed prize pool of £40,000.
Last but not least, as the end of the year draws in, The London Deepstack will take place at the popular Poker Room location in the capital city. Occurring between December 20th and 23rd, this will mark one of the last opportunities to involve yourself in live poker.
