Jason LawhunThe online poker world saw Jason Lawhun pick up his biggest online victory in the $100,000 GTD tournament after managing to outlast a total of 460 separate entrants. The event, run by WSOP.com/888Poker, saw Lawhun – who participated with the screenname of “LuckDuck” – pick up a total of $35,190. Not only that, but he went on to claim fifth place in the daily $10,000 GTD from BorgataPoker.com/PartyPoker/PlayMGM. In this tournament, he competed under the screenname of “RiverMan”, picking up an extra $575. Both of these events took place on Sunday.

This great weekend of poker gameplay has seen Lawhun go above a total of $800,000 in winnings in his gaming career. Over $700,000 of this has come from various American online poker networks too! Furthermore, Lawhun finds himself in ninth position within New Jersey and in 637th place globally. However, with his recent wins, it’s most likely that he will ascend up these rankings once they are updated.

Here is some other information relating to the weekend’s online poker events. As it stands, for the second time over the past three weeks, the $15,000 Sunday Kick-Off event from WSOP.com/888Poker didn’t reach its guarantee. It did manage to attract 135 different entrants and 113 rebuys. It saw 25 players cash in for a minimum of $180. It was the player with the screenname of “HODLer” who gained the most from the overlay. He went on to win the event following over six hours of gameplay, netting himself a total of $4,125.

Additional Details to Remember

On the other hand, the $10,000 Weekly Sunday tournament from the same company managed to outdo its guarantee, generating a large $15,925 prize when 175 entrants took part in the event. Following just over five hours of poker play, the top prize of $4,459 went to the player known as “sports247”. The player who was formally known as the top-ranked player in New Jersey, Yong “LuckySpewy1” Kwon, only claimed the ninth position this time, taking home $334 as winnings.

However, the Weekly Sunday Deepstack of WSOP.com/888poker saw its prize pool down by over $10,000 week-on-week. Despite this, the tournament was still a big success, seeing 1919 players entering, as well as 140 rebuys and an additional 140 add-ons. The prize pool was, therefore, still quite large, containing $21,431 in total winnings. The victor of this event came in the form of Norman “Abnormality” Michalek, who took home a total of $5,786 in winnings.

Finally, returning to the $100,000 GTD Sunday, this returned with its Coast to Coast events, replacing the tournament in the past two weeks. This tournament went on to smash its $100,000 prize pool guarantee, as spoken of, generating a total of $138,000 from 460 entrants. No less than 50 players cashed an amount of $635, but the final winner was Jason “LuckDuck” Lawhun. He defeated Bob “SLHalper” Taylor after competing in over 9 and a half hours of gameplay. The runner up still managed to bag $20,010 for his own winnings though.
