World Series of PokerThe World Series of Poker (WSOP) is considered to be the premier poker tournament on the poker circuit and professional poker players from across the world mark their calendars in advance to make sure they are a part of the event. The WSOP receives extensive media coverage and makes it the ideal platform for players to win and establish themselves in the industry. The WSOP bracelet is considered to be one of the most coveted items for any poker player and the payout for just about every event is impressive.

The WSOP receives a number of sponsorship applications every year as companies want to leverage the media coverage of the WSOP and establish their brand. 888poker recently announced that it has successfully secured the rights of being the chief sponsor for the WSOP 2015 event that is scheduled to take place at the Rio in Las Vegas between the 27th of May to the 14th of July.

By securing the right to be the chief sponsor at the WSOP 2015, 888poker will be able to promote its brand all through the tournament and will also receive extensive media coverage from ESPN. 888poker has also secured the rights to be the official sponsor of the European WSOP series which is scheduled to be held in London later this year. As the chief sponsor of the WSOP 2015, 888poker will be able to operate WSOP 2015 promotions and satellite poker qualifiers outside selected territories that include India, Italy, Mexico, United States, France, Quebec and British Columbia, Canada.

In a statement, Itai Pazner, Senior Vice President and Head of B2C at 888 Holdings said

As a true partner with the WSOP on the B2B side where we power their real-money gaming in the United States, this was a logical next step for us to carry the power of the WSOP to our players across all other major markets we serve. This broad package gives 888poker players a great opportunity to win their way to WSOP events on our online poker site, plus gives us terrific content and assets to market our brand

888 Holdings, the parent company of 888poker recently took over the spot of being the second biggest poker website in the world after PokerStars. By securing official rights to be the chief sponsor at the WSOP, 888poker will continue to promote its brand and expand its player database.
