party poker logoIt was back in 2016 that PartyPoker promised its players and the poker industry that it would proceed with revamping its entire brand. With Chairman Mike Sexton at the helm, the company set forth with achieving this task as a way of retaining a strong standing in the online poker world.

Fast forward to 24 months later, and various changes have taken place at the platform. Things have become a lot more player-friendly and the adjustments have seen PartyPoker ascend to even greater heights than before.

With the alterations to the site and the way it operates coming into effect, the response from players has been largely positive throughout. Such a response has garnered the poker room some media attention and the success of the changes was made even more prominent at the EGR Operator Awards this year.

Held in London, this event is considered by many to be one of the gaming industry’s most prestigious ceremonies. The 2018 gathering saw over 800 stakeholders in attendance to witness PartyPoker’s victory.

Positive Changes Assist with a Victory

PartyPoker claimed the award for the ‘Poker Operator of the Year’ at the event in 2017. It was nominated for the same award this year, standing alongside the Kindred Group and the Stars Group.

Yet, the competition was to be no match for the PartyPoker brand, as it secured the award for its second year in a row. The EGR judging panel stated that it was thoroughly impressed with the brand and its commitment to catering to its customers.

Speaking of the win, MD for PartyPoker, Tom Waters said that he was “absolutely delighted” in the efforts of the team. He went on to state that everyone has worked hard to be able to assist in getting PartyPoker to its current position and that they’re already looking to take the brand “to the next level”.

Things went well for the parent company of PartyPoker at the event, too. GVC Holdings took the award for ‘Casino Operator of the Year’ and ‘Operator of the Year’.

Multiple awards were given out at the EGR event, which was hosted at Grosvenor House in Mayfair. Evolution Gaming claimed the ‘Game of the Year’ award for its Lightning Roulette creation, while Boom Fantasy claimed the ‘Fantasy Sports Operator of the Year’ award.

Sky Betting & Gaming meanwhile, took the awards for ‘Employer of the Year’ and the ‘Socially Responsible Operator of the Year’. Other awards were given out to William Hill, Bet365 and Pinnacle.
