It was last October, when 19-year-old Linus Dahlstroem won the Central Coast Fall Poker Classic and walked away with the prize money. Ian Adams, poker manager at the Chumash Casino Resort made reference to this when he said

Our last big tournament had a lot of excitement and received a lot of attention, so we’d like to build on that success. We had quite an eclectic group at the final table. We’d love to see that again.

The Central Coast Poker Championship that took place in 2012 was a grand success as over 600 players took part and the Samala Showroom was packed. The tournament winner was John Pearley Huffman, who is from Santa Barbara. When he reached the final table, he was generous and chose to share the remaining prize money with three remaining players. In the end, Huffman won $14,000 while the other three players were able to walk away with $11,500 each.

The Chumash Casino Resort is known for hosting some of the biggest poker tournaments, in the area. Ian Adams went on to say that

All the supervisors have been through this 10 times before, so it’s just a routine for them. It’s hard to find something we haven’t come across before. And if we do, we have experienced people to deal with it.
