The Mohegan Sun Casino has been looking for a good online poker network to support its internet poker offerings and has finally decided on using the Ongame Network owned by Amaya Gaming.

The Ongame Poker Network recently announced its partnership with the Mohegan Sun.

According to Peter Bertillson, the Managing Director for Ongame, this new agreement between the Mohegan Sun and Ongame is a progressive step.

It is exciting to be part of the move online for one of the most dynamic and expansive casino operators in the United States. Mohegan Sun is the second largest casino site in the United States and it will be very exciting to be a partner in their online gaming operations as this becomes an important part of their future business strategy.

As of now, the Ongame Network will only be outfitting the Mohegan Sun Casino with free play poker game support. However, it is to be hoped that once all the legalities and licenses are in place that the Mohegan Sun will be able to run real money poker games and possibly cash tourneys with the help of the Ongame Poker Network.

Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority’s Mitchell Etess, who is their Chief Executive Officer, explained how Mohegan had been looking for a suitable partner network to join with to support their online poker services. He also mentioned that the group was looking for a network for almost half the year.

Mohegan Sun needs a provider who has outstanding regulatory experience and flexibility to offer intra-state play-for-free poker at first, and the technology to enable real money online poker when it is legalized. We are proud to announce that this partner is Ongame

The Ongame Poker Network is a rather recent purchase of the Amaya Group and it is hoped that the new partnership with the Mohegan Sun will be beneficial to all involved. The internet gambling free play version is also compatible with Smartphone’s and tablets. The Mohegan sun expects to launch its poker room by the next year from the site

Our goal is always to provide our guests with the best gaming and entertainment offerings and we believe iGaming is the next step in fulfilling the demand for regulated online play when customers aren’t able to be on property
