The European gaming market has gone through ups and downs during the last couple of years with France, Spain and Italy reporting a significant drop in gambling revenue. However, Denmark has reported a rather strong interest in online gaming and the market continues to respond well. The Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden) recently published a report which stated that Denmark’s domestic market brought in over $1.1 billion in 2014 which is a 2% increase when compared to revenues generated in 2013 and a 3% increase when compared to revenues generated in 2014.

TonyBet has entered the Dutch market at the right time and is looking to capitalize by offering Danish poker professionals a unique opportunity to play OFC. There are currently thirteen poker websites in the country and TonyBet will want to capture as much market share as possible. The company has a big plans for its Denmark operations and will invest heavily into the promotion of its OFC games in Denmark.

In a statement, Sune Hansen a representative for TonyBet said

We’re also already looking for venues to host the first big live OFC poker event in Denmark. Launching our online OFC poker site in Denmark is only the beginning. We have big plans for the future, involving special tournaments, promotions, and even live events in Denmark. We’ve been receiving a lot of requests from our players on when is open-face Chinese going to be available in Denmark, and now it’s finally here. Today is a big day for us as well as the Danish poker community.

TonyBet initially launched operations in Denmark during 2013 and since then have only offered poker games and sports betting in Denmark. The company finally managed to work out all the legal and technical issues in order for it to launch OFC games in Denmark.

TonyBet poker believes that with the introduction of OFC games the company will be able to provide a strong portfolio of games to Danish customers.
