party poker panelSeveral changes have taken place at the PartyPoker platform over the last two or three years, with the site looking to become more player-focused by incorporating ambassadors and giving users more of a voice via forums and on social media. Now, the poker room has taken another step towards its end goal, by introducing a Player Panel to its site.

So, what is this Player Panel all about, and what is it supposed to do?

The basics behind it are to ensure that communication between both the platform and its community is improved. Any issues or requests that the panel deem appropriate will be discussed and forwarded on to the PartyPoker team.

It will also have the ability to assist with adjudicating on various high-profile fraud and collusion cases, as well as help to develop strategies relating to the use of third-party software. In terms of the panel as individuals, they will also provide their own knowledge and help to improve the brand’s live poker tour known as PartyPoker LIVE.

So far, the panel includes several well-known players and ambassadors, including Jason Koon, Sam Trickett and Patrick Leonard. To add to this, PartyPoker’s French and Spanish brands will have their panel members on hand as well.

The Panel Speaks Out

Speaking of the opportunity to be able to represent the poker community, ambassador Joao Simao said that he has already had two “amazing years” with PartyPoker, so joining in with the Player Panel will give him a better chance to be able to understand how things work and the plans for the future. “I’m very proud to be part of the team…”, he went on to say, feeling pleased that he can offer support for poker players.

French panel member Bertrand Grospellier, potentially better known by his username of “ElkY”, said that he is excited to be a part of the “renaissance” that the poker room is providing. Grospellier became an ambassador for the brand in April last year after leaving the PokerStars site.

The experience of the Player Panel will also be utilised in order to help with improvements on the PartyPoker LIVE offering, which swiftly became a popular option for gamers, with its large guarantees and the chance to play online for its opening days.

We have assembled a highly qualified team…”, said the poker room’s Managing Director, Tom Waters. He went on to state that the Player Panel features some of the world’s most-respected and experienced poker gamers. He finished off by saying that the “elite team” will help PartyPoker drive itself forward, whilst at the same time, ensuring that the poker community’s interests are very much central to the decisions that are made in future.
