Pokerstars - Latin American Poker TourPokerstars launched its biggest ever marketing campaign earlier this year and used its celebrity ambassadors in Neymar Jr and Cristiano Ronaldo to focus on the Latin American market which is growing at a rapid pace. The PokerStars.net Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) recently released details for Season 9 of the LAPT which will start in January 2016.

The LAPT Season 9 schedule will commence in the Bahamas and will then stop over in a number of Latin American countries.

The first stop over will be the LAPT Bahamas that will take place at the Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island between the 7th and 9th of January 2016 and have a main event buy-in of $2,200. The next stop is LAPT Chile which will take place at the Enjoy Casino & Resort in Vina del Mar between the 4th and 8th of March and has a main event buy-in of $1,500.

The third stop will be the LAPT Panama stop which will take place at the Sortis Hotel & Casino in Panama City and will take place between the 12th and 16th of May and have a main event buy-in of $1,500. The fourth stop is LAPT Uruguay which takes place at the Conrad Resort & Casino in Punta del Este between the 23rd and 27th September and has a main event buy-in of $1,500. The fifth and final stop will be LAPT Brazil which takes place in Sao Paulo and has a main event buy-in of $1,500 but the exact location is yet to be finalized.

Every poker player will want to compete in the LAPT next year. The tour attracts some of the world’s best poker players, along with Team PokerStars SportStars such as Ronaldo and Neymar Jr., while offering more tournaments than ever before and buy-ins starting from as little as $50 to cater for our recreational players.

Season 9 of the LAPT will also have a new $400 No-Limit Hold’em Cup event that will take place at all five stops of the tour. This new event has been introduced in order to give players an opportunity to pay a lower buy-in fee but at the same time get to experience a similar setting as a high level event.
