PokerTracker 4 is the first poker database program of its kind to support Speed Poker, iPoker Network’s high-speed variant of online poker. Steven McLoughlin of PokerTracker said,

PokerTracker is the first to support the Speed Poker tables at iPoker and we now have the most advanced range creation tools ever released for equity calculators.

Speed Poker, which can be played at Titan Poker and other poker skins on the iPoker Network, is like PokerStars’ Zoom Poker and Full Tilt Poker’s Rush Poker. The variant enables poker players to play cash poker games really fast, moving from one table to the other and playing several hands. If players’ get a poor hand, which just cannot be played, they can just fold and quit the table. The software will immediately assign them to a new table with a new hand and new opponents. Since PokerTracker 4 supports Speed Poker, users of this program can use their Heads Up Displays (HUDs) while playing Speed Poker.

Players will have to first activate support by visiting PokerTracker’s main menu and selecting “Configure: Site and Import Options.” They should then choose the “iPoker” option, check the box against “Speed Poker HUD” and then hit the OK button. Players must then launch PokerTracker 4, log into their iPoker poker skin account, select the option “Get Hands While Playing,” and start playing Speed Poker. The downside is that PokerTracker can support only one Speed Poker table, and players who try multi-tabling will find that the program will recognize only one game.

Recently, PokerTracker got an upgrade, which enables it to “create suited ranges using text shortcuts in the Equity Calculator.” According to PokerTracker officials, “PokerTracker 4 is the first to introduce this ability to poker players.” Besides, the upgraded version also has an
option for new tournament summary import.

This latest version, called PokerTracker Version 4.05 Beta, includes a number of modifications, some of which deal with export of videos. Players who export videos from PokerTracker can choose to hide the names of villains and heroes, display chip stacks in the forms of big blinds or currencies, hide or display known face-down cards, and save the settings for next exports. PokerTracker 4’s video exporting feature is now packed with options.

Players are required to update their database before using the latest version of PokerTracker. According to a PokerTracker press release, this is required “due to changes made to select stats within the database.”
