The PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) is returning to Monte Carlo this month in what is expected to be another huge and memorable poker festival for EPT players and fans from all over the globe.

Monte Carlo is one of the most popular EPT stop, with the world-famous city hosting the EPT for the 15th time now.

2023 EPT Monte Carlo – Key Details

Monte Carlo is EPT’s second tour stop of the year, following EPT Paris which took place back in February. The 2023 EPT Monte Carlo kicks off on April 26 and runs through May 6 at the famed Salle des Etoiles at the Sporting Club in the Monte Carlo Bay Resort & Hotel.

The schedule is headlined by the €5,300 EPT Main Event which gets underway on April 30. The tournament features two Day 1 flights running on April 30 and May 1, with the finale scheduled for May 6.

The 11-day series also includes high-roller, women’s, and seniors’ tournaments, with the popular Mystery Bounty format adding another level of excitement to the festival.

The EPT festival will run in conjunction with the France Poker Series (FPS) which also has its own Main Event that players can sink their teeth into. The FPS Main Event comes with a buy-in of €1,100.

Live and Online Qualifiers

Players may qualify for both the EPT and FPS events in Monte Carlo via live satellites which are available right from the start of the festival. Multiple FPS Main Event qualifiers are scheduled for the first few days of the festival, each with a buy-in of only €250.
The venue will also host qualifiers for the EPT Main Event which players can enter for €600 and €1,155. There are live satellites for the high roller and mystery bounty tournaments as well.

Another option for players to secure a seat to the key events is via online satellites currently running on PokerStars. The site is hosting a €530 direct satellite to the EPT Main Event which awards a €9,000 package to the winner. Step satellites are also available with buy-ins starting at €1.10. Players may even win a ticket for free through freeroll games that feed into the €530 qualifier. More details are available on the PokerStars website.
