PokerStars has been on a quest to distribute 300 of its Platinum Passes since the beginning of the year. A Platinum Pass gives the holder a full entry package to 2019’s PokerStars Players NL Hold’em Championship (PSPC) that will be held in the Bahamas.

Each Platinum Pass is worth $30,000 and gives players a $25,000 entry to the event, $2000 in meal and travel allowance, and six days of accommodation at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. That’s a lot of value in a single pass and PokerStars is running multiple events throughout this year, giving players a chance to win a coveted Platinum Pass and make it to the 2019 PSPC.

U.S Poker Pros Get A Chance To Win Platinum Passes

While PokerStars has given out more than 100 Platinum Passes so far, only 6 of those passes are with U.S based players and that is because online poker is legal in only four states so far and only three of those states have online poker websites up and running.

PokerStars is looking to distribute more Platinum Passes to US players and the latest addition to these efforts will be through their partnership with Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida. PokerStars will be giving away two of these Platinum Passes.

To get a chance at one of the passes, players should play 100 hours of any jackpot-eligible poker game. The first 235 players who do that will then have the chance to enter the Seminole Hard Rock $65,000 Summer Freeroll. Anyone who beats the field and gets the top spot will get the Platinum Pass and an entry to the $5,250 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship event.

The second Platinum Pass will go to a lucky winner of a raffle. Players who buy in to events and satellites of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open series, which will happen between August 2 to 14, will get an entry. Players who play multiple times get multiple entries.
At the end of the series, a draw will take place and the winner will get a Platinum Pass.

In a statement, Eric Hollreiser, Vice President of Corporate Communications at The Stars Group, said

We wanted to give the Seminole Hard Rock players the opportunity to play in the PSPC through tournaments right on their doorstep. The Bahamas is only a short hop from the States, so this is perfect for those who have their eye on a Platinum Pass and the poker adventure of a lifetime. Poker lovers who can’t make it this time don’t have to worry. We have more routes coming up.
