The Great White North will be getting some poker action later this year as the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) returns to Canada.
This will take place at the Playground Poker Club in Quebec and run from August 23 to September 3.
The WSOP-C Playground Festival will have a number of exciting events lined up and organizers are expecting poker pros from all over Canada and the United States to be in attendance.
There will be seven WSOPC ring awarding events during this festival.
The buy-ins for the festival will have a wide range, which should allow poker pros from all backgrounds to participate and have a crack at winning these coveted WSOPC rings.

Rewarding Events
The CAD$330 Colossus will be the first event at the Festival and has one of the lowest buy-ins. Do not let the low buy-in fool you as the event has a CAD$1 million guaranteed prize pool. There is even a chance to win an online entry to the event as partypoker is offering four Day 1 flights from August 19 to 22 for those interested to join. Eight live Day 1 flights are also available from August 23 to 26 at the Playground Poker Club.
Some of the other exciting events scheduled to take place at the Festival include a CAD$330 Closer, a CAD$550 Pot-Limit Omaha event, and a CAD$660 Monster Stack Freezeout. For those with thicker bankrolls, the CAD$5,300 Super High Roller and the CAD$2,200 High Roller events are there to give players a crack at winning a chunk of prize money The highlight of the festival is the CAD$1,100 Main Event. The real draw for the main event is the large CAD$2 million guaranteed prize pool. It will have four starting flights, with players each getting 50,000 chips. The tables will have hour-long blinds and people will be able to buy into it via their partypoker account.

Those with partypoker accounts will be able to buy into all of the events, but there's a special promo if they use PP Live Dollars. These Live Dollars are partypoker's virtual currency that can be used in paying for buy-ins at partypoker LIVE events, as well as travel and accommodations for them. For the WSOPC Playground Festival, the first 250 players paying in Live Dollars for the main event will get an additional CAD$50,000 along with any winnings they cash in from the tournament.
