Hollywood Poker OpenThe poker industry is one of the most lucrative and competitive industries and gambling firms across the world are always forced to be innovative in promoting their brand and tournament. The uniqueness of each tournament and main event is critical in determining the success or failure.

Bill Bruce who is the director of the Hollywood Poker Open (HPO) understands this only too well. Bruce has worked for many years at the World Series of Poker and has also organized a number of poker events across the country. He has worked extremely hard to make the HPO an attractive event for players to attend.

The HPO has gained a lot of publicity in the recent past, especially with the signing of poker celebrity player Chris Moneymaker who now serves as the HPO tour ambassador. Bruce spoke about how excited he was to have Chris Moneymaker on board.

In a statement, Bruce said

It’s fantastic to have Chris on board with the HPO brand. I couldn’t ask for a better name to have associated with the tour. Chris really takes his role seriously, and it’s been a pleasure to have him promoting the stops and committing to playing in the Regionals. It should signal to the players that Penn Gaming and the Hollywood Poker Open are serious about poker. If you look at what the HPO is doing, it should be evident that this is something that poker players are going to want to participate in and even promote

Currently, the Hollywood Poker Open is running with Season 2 and a 3rd also taking place at the Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Grantville, PA. The big attraction for this tournament will be the $1,800 HPO Regional Main Event which will take place on the 1st of March and run across the weekend. price tag, as Lee Childs pointed out he’s a big favorite of.

Bruce also spoke about the steps that he had taken to make the HPO a unique event. He said

The HPO is serious about being a presence when it comes to poker. We have gone out and hired one of the most recognizable names and face in the game of poker in Chris Moneymaker, we have brought in PokerNews to give players the best possible onsite live reporting, the fees are less than other events, and the structures are amazing. I hope everyone will play the nearest HPO regionals when they have the opportunity.

Those players who are interested to learn more about the HPO can do so by going to the official HPO website and clicking on a link called ‘Local Seat Promotions.’ This will give players more information on the different promotions that take place at the various Hollywood and Penn properties.
