Dan BilzerianDan Bilzerian has built a reputation for himself as being a high-stakes poker player who lives on the edge and spends his money lavishly on anything he fancies. Bilzerian does not play the usual poker circuit and is visibly absent from events like the World Series of Poker and online poker websites.

Bilzerian apparently spends his time playing high-stakes poker events that are kept low key and have an invitation only policy. He has built for himself a huge fan following on Instagram by posting a number of provocative pictures featuring partially naked women, piles of cash and a number of hand guns.

He is very active on Instagram and other social media websites and loves to advertise his extravagant lifestyle.

In November 2014, Bilzerian and his friend Jeremy Guymon decided to make a homemade explosive and attach it to a tractor-trailer cab in Nevada. The due successfully managed to detonate the device which resulted in an explosion and a fire which the due decided not to put out.

Las Vegas police officials arrested both Bilzerian and Guymon on a felony charge which carried with it a penalty of serving up to 12 years in jail. The duo did not appear in court but instead had their lawyers plead guilty to a misdemeanor for failing to extinguish a fire. The judge decided to fine the duo a combined amount of $20,000 and also a commitment from Bilzerian to speak on behalf of the federal Bureau of Land Management and ask his fans to avoid making homemade bombs or starting fires.

The judge believed that having Bilzerian act as a spokesperson against these dangerous acts will serve more good than putting him behind bars. The judge took into consideration Bilzerian’s fan following on social media and in particular Instagram and asked him to use his social media influence to educate his fans on the dangers and consequences of violating the law.

Dan Bilzerian reportedly has over 6 million fans on Instagram who love to follow his crazy exploits which includes throwing a porn star off a roof and breaking her leg, shooting a variety of guns and surrounding himself with scantily clad women.

The infamous high stakes poker pro will be relieved to know he is not going to jail and the small fine will not hurt his wallet in anyway. What remains to be seen is Bilzerian’s response to the court order and if he is sincere in his warning to his fans.
