World Series of PokerThe World Series of Poker (WSOP) is currently taking place at the Rio in Las Vegas and is receiving a lot of media coverage as professional poker players and celebrities from all over the world decide to be a part of this mega tournament.

The WSOP has decided to take advantage of this platform and launch a new online portal called WSOPstats.com that will compliment the WSOP.com online poker product. The new portal will focus on the WSOP.com online poker market and provide players with a number of different leaderboards and statistics.

The WSOPstats.com website will focus on providing detailed states of all WSOP.com online players and will cover areas such as leaderboard information, premier online tournament results and individual player performance metrics. The website will also feature unique information like the top one hundred 2015 cashers in New Jersey and Nevada and slowly look to expand in different areas such as the online cash games and Sit N Go events.

The site, which is the only site authorized to provide statistics of WSOP online play, will feature online tournament results, individual player performance data, and leaderboard information such as the top 100 2015 cashers in Nevada & New Jersey with plans to expand into other statistical area, such as Sit N Go and cash game accomplishments. The WSOPstats.com website will also provide viewers with the opportunity to watch free learning videos from GrinderSchool.com that focuses on assisting small and mid-stake players.

The WSOPstats.com website will also publish top content as well known poker author and historian, Nolan Dalla will be responsible for publishing content and ensuring the site provides key information to players.

In a statement, WSOP.com Head of Online Poker Bill Rini said

We looked around and there were other sites that were doing stats. We had contacted some of them and asked if we could pull off information because we were having players that would come and ask saying they didn’t want their information out there.

So we wanted to create something that would be able to showcase some of the players, especially the ones that are really doing well. We’ll put the leaderboards up there, and a lot of other information up there. It also gives us a bit more control, so if a player wants to opt out, we can actually opt them out versus some of these sites that don’t give players that option
